| Question – What have the following list of animals all got in common?
Badgers, voles, moles, bats, beavers, deer, owls, grouse, buzzards, woodpeckers, kestrels, kingfishers, adders, frogs, toads, lizards, snakes, newts, butterflies, moths, beetles, bees, wasp, spiders, slugs and snails (Phew!)…and the list goes on! Answer – They all live in habitats created as a result of trees planted by The Woodland Trust and which are supported by our amazing customers. Planting trees is, of course, great for our environment, but just as important are the natural habitats created to support The UK’s diverse variety of woodland wildlife and organisms. Right tree, right place – The Woodland Trust plants native trees in The UK in places where they will be most effective. It is important to plant the right mix of species at the correct density for native biodiversity to flourish. Oh, and here are a few other forms of life flourishing in woodland around the UK – fungi, flowers, grasses, mosses, lichens, ferns.. THANKS to The Woodland Trust and a HUGE THANKS to our customers for supporting tree planting in The UK |
