When it comes to planting trees, we are both singing from the same environmentally friendly song sheet.
On Monday HRH Prince Charles announced his brilliant tree planting initiative; The Queen’s Green Canopy to celebrate her Majesty’s 70th year on the throne.
Prince Charles and Her Majesty planted a symbolic oak tree within the grounds of Windsor Castle to mark the launch. He added: “As we approach this most special year, I invite you all to join me to ‘Plant a tree for the Jubilee’ – in other words, a ‘Tree-bilee!’”
The initiative will encourage everyone from individuals, businesses, schools, villages, towns and cities to plant trees from October this year to the end of 2022, the jubilee year.
