Face Communications proudly sponsored Matilda Thomas O’keefe last season who went on to win The Supporters Young Player of the Season and The Golden Boot Award for the development team!
Matilda’s achievements find resonance in the recent Women’s World Cup, serving as a microcosm of the growing prominence of women’s football.
Playing for our local club, Stevenage Borough, Matilda played 12 games scoring 6 goals. She also appeared on the bench for the First Team. Matilda also helped the Development team reach the County Cup semi-final, scoring three crucial goals in the competition before they were narrowly knocked out after a penalty shoot-out.
As Matilda laces up her boots for another season, our wholehearted best wishes for her success go hand in hand with every stride she takes and hopefully every goal she scores.
